According to the President’s official website, he welcomed promotion of the level of cooperation between Tehran and Caracas and hoped for expansion of cooperation in the future.
He referred to broad consultations between Tehran and Caracas on the issue of market stability and increasing oil prices as well as the agreements achieved in Algeria and Vienna.
President Rouhani said that at the first step all oil producing countries should try to implement and make operational all agreements within the first half of the coming year, so continuation of consultations and dialogues are necessary.
He underlined that Iran intends to support market stability and oil price increase and said that role of non-OPEC countries in full implementation of agreements is important.
He believed close cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC countries to stabilize oil prices and even increase them is very important.
Given the chairmanship of Venezuela on Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), President Rouhani expressed hope that Caracas can use this opportunity to strengthen cooperation among member countries.
