Kurdish ISIS leader killed in coalition airstrike on Hawija, police official says

Rudaw- A Kurdish leader of ISIS was killed Tuesday in an airstrike in Hawija, southwest of Kirkuk, by the US-led coalition.

On Tuesday at 09:30am, one of the Kurdish leaders of ISIS, was killed by coalition airstrikes in Hawija,Brig. Sarhad Qadir, head of the Kirkuk Suburban Police, told Rudaw

He said the dead leader was known as Abu Ayubi al-Kurdiya and his real name was Pshtiwan Talabani. He was from Kirkuk.

He added that another ISIS leader, known as Abu Barra and from Mosul, was also killed in the Hawija airstrikes.

Hawija, 55 kilometers southwest of Kirkuk, has been under ISIS control since June 2014.
