Karaj, Alborz prov., Oct 26, IRNA � Head of Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) Mika Nykanen said that Iran has high capacities in developing cooperation in mine sector with other countries.


Nykanen made the remarks while addressing the 1st International Symposium on Mineral Processing which was held in Alborz province on Tuesday.

He reiterated that Finland aimed at developing ties in mines and mineral industries with Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) Organization as well as Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration of Iran.

Thanks to its high capacities and potential in mines sector, the Finnish official stressed, Iran should focus on research and investment areas.

On the sidelines of the event, Iran and Finland inked MoU on mineral cooperation.
