Saudi Yemen venture in political, military deadlock

TEHRAN, Oct. 13 (MNA) Irans Deputy Foreign Minister Jaberi Ansari released on Wednesday a piece of commentary condemning the latest Saudi airstrike which killed 140 civilians ina funeral ceremony on Saturday.

Fighting against clock and with the fantasy of restoring the former Yemeni president, Saudi Arabia has made itself stuck in a direct war against civilian Yemenis for a year and a half, reads part of a new statement by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari released on Wednesday.

The Iranian diplomat opens the text with regretting the brutal attack of Saudis on Saturday that killed scores of civilians congregated in a hall for a funeral ceremony in Sanaa.

He reassures that the KSA would never achieve the dream and Yemen will rise from its ashes like a Phoenix although with casualties imposed upon because of anger, negligence, and historical reasons.

Jaberi Ansari even quotes a paragraph from the opening chapter of Barbara W. Tuchmans The March of Folly: From Troy to Vietnam which says such wars are not new and always end up with the defeat of the aggressors.

The latest incident of massacre in Yemen symbolizes the defeat of Saudis in war against Yemen, reads the opening of a paragraph in the middle of his text, the early consequences of the attack were just the upper tip of the iceberg of realities which would be, against Saudis, exposed at the end of the war.
