Irans President hopes for end to sufferings of Yemeni, Iraqi, Syrian people
TEHRAN (Tasnim) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani bemoaned the troubles the people of Yemen, Syria and Iraq are going through, hoping that the three nations would get rid of the evils caused by aggressors and terrorists.

I hope that the people of Yemen, who are under brutal bombings by aggressors, and the people of Syria and Iraq, who are facing barbaric attacks by terrorists, can get rid of the evils (caused by) the aggressors and terrorists, Rouhani told reporters in Rey, south of Tehran, on Wednesday.

Syria and Iraq have been facing battling with foreign-baked terrorist groups, like Daesh (ISIL or ISIS), that have wreaked havoc in the two Arab countries over the past few years.

In Syria, some 470,000 people have been killed throughout the five years of bloodshed, 4.8 million have fled the country, and 6.6 million have become internally displaced by the violence.

In Iraq, Daesh militants made swift advances in much of northern and western parts of the country over the summer of 2014, and since then have been committing heinous crimes against people there.

Iraqi military forces backed by popular forces have in recent months liberated much of the territory captured by the terrorist group in 2014.

As for Yemen, the country has been under airstrikes by Saudi Arabia and its allies since March 26, 2015. The Saudi war was launched in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi who has resigned as Yemens president but seeks to grab power again.

Nearly 10,000 Yemenis, including 4,000 women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.

In the latest carnage caused by Saudi attacks, over 140 Yemeni civilians were killed and more than 525 others wounded on Saturday, when a Saudi airstrike hit a community hall in southern Sanaa, where a funeral was being held.
