Afghanistan hails Iran Leader's order for educational service to Afghan kids

Tehran, Oct 9, IRNA Afghanistan Minister of Refugees and Repatriations Affairs Hussein Alimi Balkhi has appreciated Iran Supreme Leader's order for preparing schooling to immigrant Afghan pupils who has no identification cards.


In a meeting on Sunday with Iran's Deputy Interior Minister for Security and Disciplinary Affairs Hossein Zolfaqari, which took place on the sidelines of executive committee meeting of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Balkhi applauded Iran's hospitality and assistances toward the Afghan Immigrants living in Iran.

Zolfaqari offered his special appreciation for the order by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for preparing educational services to Afghan pupils, who has no identification card.

Balkhi expressed his country's readiness for more cooperation and coordination with the Islamic Republic.

Zolfaqari, on the other hand, offered authorities and experts in both countries to hold meetings to discuss and address issues related to Afghan refugees and immigrants in the Islamic Republic.

According to the Iranian officials, in these meetings the two sides will be able to decide on providing incentives for Afghan immigrants interested to voluntarily return to their country, issuing family passports, establishing low-cost procedures, controlling undocumented immigrants and setting up operational mechanism to achieve these ends.

The Afghan minster welcomed the proposal and said that necessary works will be done in next three months to pave the way for the meetings to happen.
