MOSCOW (Sputnik) A long-lasting cessation ofhostilities inwar-torn Syria is possible toachieve withstrong political will and cooperation betweenMoscow and Washington, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari said Thursday. "We think that if there is a strong will, clear policy ofthe Unites States withpartnership ofRussia and other countries, there is a possibility toreach a long-lasting ceasefire [in Syria] and a comprehensive opposition toextremists and terrorists," Ansari said duringa press conference inMoscow. He added that Washington was still leading double games bybacking the international fight againstterrorism while sponsoring terrorist groups toreach its political goals.
