Kabul, Sept 6, IRNA – Iranian southern port of Chabahar is the gate for Afghanistan to access the Central and Southern Asian countries, says the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Abdullah Abdullah made the remark in a meeting with Iranian top Presidential aide Akbar Torkan on Monday.
He expressed optimism over Tehran-Kabul cooperation in Chabahar Port.
The Afghan high-ranking official also called on Iranian companies to help Afghanistan construct roads and develop its mining sector.
During the meeting, Torkan said that Chabahar Port has the potential to connect Afghanistan to the international waters.
Development of Chabahar Port will help boost bilateral and multilateral regional cooperation, the Iranian Official said.
Iran is ready to share its experience in mining and steel industry with its neighbor Afghanistan, he said.
