Iraq: ISIL terrorists fleeing Kirkuk with families

TEHRAN (FNA)- The recent advances of the Iraqi forces against the ISIL in Kirkuk province have left no choice for the Takfiri terrorists and their families but to flock to Mosul in Nineveh province to find safer shelters, Thursday reports said.

The al-Sumaria television on Thursday quoted asecurity source as saying that the ISIL commanders in the town of Hawija in Kirkuk province has begun selling their properties and were heading to Mosul withtheir families.

According to press tv, the source cited a state of despair among the Takfiri group's ranksamidgrowing defections and a drop in monthly salaries which havefallenfrom 350,000 Iraqi dinars to 50,000 Iraqi dinars.

Jabbar Ma'amouri, a commander of the Popular Mobilization units, said the ISIL commander Abu Jihad Saudi hadfled Hawija to an unknown destination, taking around $300,000 with him.

Maamouri said several ISIL commanders have recently leftthe town following a series ofdefeats at the hands of government forces in the provinces of Anbar, Salahuddin and Diyala.

Army troops and volunteer forces have been engaged in joint operations to retake ISIL-held regions in Iraq.
