Iran, Turkey review regional developments

Tehran, Aug 23, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari in a meeting with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Omid Yalcin on Tuesday explored ways to help resolve the regional disputes through peaceful means.

In his telegram, Ansari said his meeting with Turkish counterpart took about four hours.

Ansari, leading a delegation arrived in Ankara on Monday night to confer with his Turkish counterpart on regional developments.

In the meeting, the two sides studied avenues to broaden scope of cooperation to thwart the humanitarian crises in the region, Ansari said.

They exchanged views on major issues in the region and also studied way out of the prevailing dilemma such as extremism and terrorism, Ansari said.

IRNA reporter in Ankara said that at the end of his visit, the Iranian delegation will leave Ankara for Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.
