IRGC commander orders forces to prepare for enemies' possible aggression

TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour underlined the necessity for his forces' permanent readiness to give a crushing response to any possible enemy aggression.

"We expect to enhance our defensive capabilities and combat preparedness to confront any threat by enemies and become ready to give a decisive, precise and crushing response to the enemies any time and at any level by monitoring their moves," Pakpour said after visiting the IRGC's Southeastern bases on Tuesday.

He also warned that Iran's enemies are supporting the terrorist and anti-revolutionary groups in the Northwestern and Southeastern parts of the country.

In relevant remarks in June, Pakpour warned that his forces target the positions of those terrorists who dare to attack Iran anywhere even in the neighboring countries.

He referred to the recent clashes between the IRGC forces and terrorist groups in the Northwestern parts of the country, and said during the clashes a large number of terrorists, including several commanders, who took order from certain reactionary states were killed.

"Given the fact that the main strongholds of these terrorists is in Northern Iraq, their positions will be targeted at any point and region in case they dont act upon their undertakings and in a bid to prevent the repetition of anti-security moves and measures," he underlined.

Pakpour stressed the Iranian forces' superiority over the terrorists' moves, and said they will give a crushing and rapid response to any aggression.
