Health minister briefs President on medical assistance to soldiers

Tehran, June 25, IRNA – Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh presented a report on the latest measures and conditions of the Iranian soldiers injured in two separate bus accidents in southern Iran to President Hassan Rouhani on Friday.

The health minister briefed President Rouhani on the dispatch of 26 ambulances and a bus ambulance to the help the wounded of the accidents.

A bus carrying soldiers who served in a training center in Kerman province in southeast of the country crashed on Wednesday leaving 19 soldiers dead and a number of others wounded.

In a message on Friday, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed grief over the bitter incident which claimed lives of the soldiers whom he described as brave offspring of the nation.

He voiced sympathy with the bereaved families of the young soldiers and said this was an accident which gravely saddened the nation.
