Rouhani calls parliamentarians to serve their voters in good faith

TEHRAN, Jun. 15 (MNA) Irans Hassan Rouhani has sat in a joint meeting hosted by Parliament speaker to which Head of the Judiciary Sadegh Amoli Larijani also joined to form Government Heads of Branches meeting.

Rouhani addressed the press on behalf of all three heads of government branches where he first congratulated parliamentarians of the newly-opened 10th Parliament and called both Government and Parliamentto serve their constituencies in good faith since the public has entrusted to them heavy duties of representing the plebiscite and making the law.

The meeting addressed a host of issues; we hope our convergence and general agreement would lead us to address and solve nations difficulties and bring them a modest level of happiness, Rouhani told the reporters on Wednesday. In post-JCPOA times, we should make much of our time; all branches of government are unanimous in a general demand that the media promote a sense of euphoria in the public and help prepare grounds where countrys potentials would be realized to their full, especially our talented university graduates; this would not came readily as a possibility unless all forces and bodies work in a spirit of cooperation and shared responsibility, Rouhani asserted.

Rouhani suggested that the media should not embark on a hyperbole of small pitfalls of the Government, generalizing the mismanagement to all ranks and files of the system, which would only blur the image people has of the Government; in the time of post-JCPOA, some cabinet ministers have critical responsibilities and better scope of activity as well; oil ministry is such body which would play a great part in bringing the country with increased income of oil exports; Mr. Zanganeh provided the Parliament open session with a report of the latest condition of oil agreements along with possibilities of oil production in shared fields, president said. We hope to have the Judiciary and Parliaments contribution to efforts seeking to convert opportunities to success in securing investments to oil sector.

On the issue of recent developments in the UN during which Mr. Ban Ki-moon made a historic point which revealed the realities behind the international power politics: Saudi Arabia-led coalition was removed from blacklist of countriesthat violate rights of children. Mr. Ban said that Saudi allies threatened to deny the UN of its necessary resources to run the organization. That was a shock to the media and international community alike to hear Mr. Ban making this clearly. Rouhanis response was that international organizations had been increasingly weak in their jurisdiction and credibility, dwindling in their authority and in remaining independent and strong.

Rouhani reiterated Irans support for whoever among the neighbors requested help; we hope to see an Iraq where people embrace stability and security with flight of terrorism; in Syria we hope people experience long-lasting peace and a modest security for their daily lives, he emphasized.
