Tehran, May 9, IRNA - Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said here on Monday that the instrumental use of terrorism in the region is doomed to failure.


Jaberi Ansari made the remarks during his weekly press briefing here on Monday.

Touching upon the recent remarks of Russian Ambassador to the United Nations over Turkey's complicity in Iraq blasts, he added it is crystal clear that the terrorist groups are seeking to create chaos in the region.

'The terrorists' empowerment will not benefit any of us,' he added.

The spokesman reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always asked the regional and neighboring countries to not let the terrorist groups to succeed in pursuing their goals.

Jaberi Ansari also expressed hope that developing of a common understanding about the phenomenon of terrorism was an accessible objective in the region.

He further called for world scale efforts for tackling this phenomenon across the world.
