Tehran, April 27, IRNA � Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday strongly protested US-Israeli conspiracy to seize Iranian funds in the United States.


The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with a group of workers to mark the National Labour Week.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran endeavors to ascend the peaks of Islamic Civilization and the US-Israeli hostility continue to create obstacles on the way of progress and economic development of the great nation.

The Leader said that some friends were criticizing him for highlighting the US animosity toward Iran and said that the records of the past 37 years indicated that the US spares no efforts to deal a blow to Iran.

The Supreme Leader criticized the US conduct of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action about refusal to give assurances to the European banks to go ahead with international business with Iranian banks and said that such examples are the cause for his mistrust to the United States.

'Now, Iranian officials are also aware of the sabotage the US is involved in the banking transactions, so that the major banks are not ready to cooperate with Iran.'

The Leader said that the reason the world's major banks are not ready to cooperate with Iran is that the US officials stirred up Iranophobia.
Ayatollah Khamenei derided the US officials for accusing Iran of supporting terrorism and it must be subject to sanctions.

'What a message do they convey to foreign banks? The message of such a conduct is to dissuade foreign banks and entrepreneurs from doing business with Iran.'

'Of course, as far as terrorism is concerned, Americans are worse than all terrorists and based on the information available, they continue assisting all the famous terrorists.'

Ayatollah Khamenei said one more method of Iranophobia the US government uses is practically preventing foreign entrepreneurs and banks to work with Iran.

'They claim that the reason foreign countries do not cooperate is Iran's domestic situation, while Iran is the most secure country in the region and Iran is more secure than the US, where several people are killed everyday, better than that of the European states and Iran enjoys satisfactoy situation contrary to wishes of enemies.'

The Supreme Leader said that the US officials emphasize preserving forms and system of anti-Iran sanctions is one more explicit method of Iranophobia to prevent presence of foreign entreprenrus.

'We are facing such an enemy and for any activity we wish to do, we should consider presence of such an enemy.'

Referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran's progress over the past 37 years despite US enmity, the Supreme Leader said if the enmity continues for 100 more years, Iran will continue getting progress up to 100 years later despite their expectation.

'The US is the enemy no matter we remind or not to remind; no matter we tell or not to tell it.'

'The unreliable Americans insist on different sanctions, trying to hurl obstacles on the way of the country's economic transactions overseas through causing Iranphobia.'

Meanwhile, Ayatollah Khamenei thanked workers for their efforts and said, 'Any person working in the society, either authorities, ministers, university instructors, college students, seminarians, directors and others, is a worker in general sense of the word and generates value in fact.'

The Supreme Leader said anybody having a responsibility in the country should do his/her best to fulfill the duty in the best possible manner.

Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated workers for defying counter-revolutionary propaganda and refusing to counter the Islamic Republic of Iran and rather being a defendant of the Islamic system.
