Tehran, April 25, IRNA � Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari said Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with a number of US Congregressmen during his recent visit to New York.

Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said the meetings took place as part of the foreign minister�s busy schedule during the trip.

He noted that Zarif also participated in press conferences, had interviews with media, delivered speeches in the US think tanks and also met with a number of Americans officials.

Zarif left for New York on April 18 to attend the signing ceremony of documents on climate change based on Paris Agreement and UN General Assembly special meeting of High-Level Thematic Debate on Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
