Tehran, March 15, IRNA - President Hassan Rouhani attended a ceremony here Tuesday to pay tribute to Iranian champions and medalists.


The ceremony is held to celebrate those Iranian sports men and women who won titles and medals during the past Iranian year (ended March 20, 2014).

Some 9,000 gold coins would be presented as a reward to the Iranian champions and medalists during the event.

Several high-ranking officials including Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mahmoud Goudarzi and the special assistant to President Rouhani, Hossein Fereydoun, are also attending the event.
