Tehran, Feb 29, IRNA- Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said his ministry is committed to the government to have a positive balance in automotive industry.

Speaking in the opening ceremony of the 3rd Iran Automotive Industry International Conference, Mohammad Reza Nemat Zadeh said on Monday that automobile industry must generate currency and be effective in its own development and development of national economy as well.

Referring to the fact that automotive industries form the most important industrial section, he added that 10% of industry's value added is related to this section.
Nemat Zadeh also said that regarding employment, automotive industry is in the third position and uses medium and high technology.

He noted that automotive industry aims at increasing design and engineering potential, producing 3 million cars annually and attracting foreign companies' participation.
