TEHRAN, Feb. 22 (MNA) � Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based company have managed to equip Iranian houses with smart home technology perfectly tailored to customer requirements.


Mojtaba Khodam, the project manager, told Mehr News that smart phones are now an integral part of Iranians� lives and as such can be used to easily control places such as homes and offices; �we managed to equip houses, offices, villas and cars with our domestically-designed smart home technology,� he said.

He noted the differences between the Iranian smart home and other foreign models, saying �many companies in Iran are only service providers and offer foreign smart home devices; for this reason, the devices are not 100% tailored to the requirements of Iranian customers.�

He went on to add that his team, by contrast, will provide Iranian homes with smart gadgets that have been designed to meet the needs of domestic customers perfectly; �we have designed everything from the idea up to the software and hardware ourselves,� he added, noting the company�s services and devices can compete with similar�products from other countries.

�On the other hand, using foreign products can cause a number of problems such as the lack of after-sale service or the potential of having your home�s information stolen by the foreign servers,� he said.

Khodam maintained that at the moment, his company is waiting to receive necessary permits from the cyber police (FATA) so that customers will be able to use the smart home services with more assurance.
