Minister: Iran has sufficient infrastructure for IT development

Qom, Feb 1, IRNA Minister of Information Technology and Communications Mahmoud Vaezi said on Monday that Iran has no shortage of infrastructure for IT development.


He made the remarks in a meeting with officials of the ministry in Qom province.
Vaezi said that technology is developing rapidly, so there are many works to do and government by investment and allocating appropriate budget is doing its part.

He said that 'Post' has no longer its traditional role to deliver letters and instead IT services and e-mail have replaced the traditional post services.
He highlighted the e-trade and said that Iran achieved good development in recent years in the field of Information Technology.

The minister said that monopoly causes corruption and the 11th government is trying to create competition to secure IT progress and make the facility available to the people.
