TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani underlined that the state-of-the-art equipment and weapons which are in the hands of the terrorists in the region show the fake nature of anti-terrorism coalitions.

"It is clear which countries have supplied the TOW missiles and war equipment to the terrorists in the region and this shows their lies and formation of fake coalitions," Larijani said, addressing a gathering in the Central city of Qom on Thursday.

Noting that turmoil in the region merely benefit the US and Israel, he expressed pleasure that despite insecurity in different regional states, the current security conditions in the country are proper.

In mid-December, Saudi Arabia formed an alliance of 34 Muslim countries to coordinate fight against terrorist organizations.

The alliance was announced by Saudi Defense Minister and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on December 15.

In relevant remarks late December, Iraqi volunteer forces spokesman Karim al-Nouri blasted the Riyadh government for supporting the ISIL, and vowed harsh reaction to any possible dispatch of troops by Saudi Arabia's newly-formed anti-terrorism coalition to his country.

The Hashd al-Shaabi's reaction came after the new coalition formed by Saudi Arabia to fight terrorism offered to send troops to Iraq to fight against the ISIL.

"These countries had better cut their financial and logistic support for the ISIL instead of sending troops to Iraq," Al-Nouri told FNA.

He reiterated that the only positive stance that such countries as Saudi Arabia and its coalition members could adopt would be stopping their support and aid to the ISIL.

Al-Nouri described the dispatch of forces to Iraq as ridiculous, and said, "We are now even prepared to send forces to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and other countries to help those countries fight the ISIL; we do not need their troops."
