Tehran, Dec 30, IRNA – Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz has been shortlisted to take charge of Russian top-flight Rubin Kazan.
The former Chelsea and current Ghana coach Avram Grant and ex-Aston Villa coach Alex McLeish are among the candidates for the post.
Kazan is reluctant to continue its cooperation with current coach Valeriy Chaly when his side finished ninth in the top-flight two seasons ago.
“There were proposals from Rubin Kazan for Carlos Queiroz, Avram Grant and Alex McLeish,” Rubin Kazan chairman Ilsur Metshin told Russian online portal, the Business Gazeta.
”These are football coaches who are experienced in the Uefa Champions League and Europa League and gave their previous clubs results,” he added, according to Tehran Times.
