Mashhad, Nov 19, IRNA - Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Thursday that the standard of the Iranian weapons is in conformity with global standards.

Highly sophisticated Iranian weapons are able to tackle any type of probable attacks, said the commander.

'If the Iranian weapons and warships fail to be most updated, it will not be possible to deal with the enemies in free waters,' he said.

Under the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader, Iranian naval forces are strongly dealing with pirates in Bab el-Mandeb strait between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, he said.

Active presence of the Iranian navy forces in Bab el-Mandeb truly demonstrates the country's military capabilities to the world, said the commander.

The inhuman Saudi Arabia which is equipped with most modern western and eastern weapons never hesitate to use them against the defenseless people in Yemen, he said.
