Iran designs micro-reactor for producing medical nano-particles

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers at Tehran University have designed micro-reactor which is capable of producing nano-particles in controlled-sizes for drug industry.

Mina Ashrafi-Moghaddam, the lead author of the study, said the study aimed to design a micro-reactor for building medical nano-drugs.

She said that the device is made of plexiglas and is equipped with two entrance and exit channels. Its design allows separate control of entrance and exit currents.

The system has been constructed to produce medical nano-particles which increase solution of the drugs and increases bioavailability.

The newly-develop system can be used for production of organic, inorganic and polymeric nano-particles as well as chemical industries.
