Six-millennia-old village discovered in southern Iran
A six-millennia-old village which is five hectares in area has been identified by a team of archeologists in the southern city of Marvdasht, in Fars Province, the Public Relations Office of the Research Center of Irans Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization reported Wednesday.

Fazllolah Habibi, who leads a team of archeologists, said, Following preliminary studies and creation of a topographic map, a site which is assumed to be a castle and the remnants of a mill dating back to the Seljuq era have been discovered.
