Qatar eyes enchanted ties with Iran

TEHRAN, Nov. 03 (MNA) – Qatari Emir has always emphasized on relations between Iran and Qatar, the country’s Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari said.

The Qatari minister made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ali Jannati on Monday on the sidelines of the 9th session of the Islamic Conference of Culture Ministers (ICCM) in Muscat, Oman.

Al Kuwari said “Emir of Qatar has always stressed relations between Iran and Qatar; He believes that both the countries might have some differences regarding some issues but the commonalities are more.”

He noted that the history, culture and interests of both Iran and Qatar move in a similar direction.

The Qatari minister described Tehran-Doha ties as “well” and hoped that the two countries will step toward enhancing cultural ties.

Ali Jannati, for his part, referred to the long-lasting ties of Iran-Qatar particularly in cultural fields saying that several books have been penned in Persian in Iran on Qatar.

The minister also noted that Iran is ready to hold Qatar Book Fair in Tehran as well as its cultural week.
