Tehran, Oct 25, IRNA � Minister of communications and information technology announced Sunday that Tehran and Moscow will have closer cooperation in the field of the Internet as well as satellite launch.

Mahmoud Vaezi made the remarks while talking to reporters after his meeting with visiting Russisn Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov.

Vaezi said Iran and Russia agreed to enhance cooperation in order to break up the US monopoly on the Internet.

About data transit through Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC), Vaezi said the two countries will widen cooperation to that end.

The two will also exchange experiences in enhancement of level of the Internet security.
