Tehran, Sept 28, IRNA - Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society Amir Hossein Ziaee said on Monday that the humanitarian agency offered to send rescue teams to Saudi Arabia to identify Iranian pilgrims unaccounted for.

Iranian delegation comprising of Health Minister Seyyed Hassan Hashemi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Consulate and Majilis Affairs Hassan Qashqavi, Managing Director of Health Ministry for International Affairs Mohsen Asadi Lari and Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society Amir Hossein Ziaee are to pay a visit to Saudi Arabia to pursue whereabouts of Iranian pilgrims unaccounted for.

Some 23 Iranian pilgrims have been hospitalized in Saudi hospitals and seven others are now hospitalized at a Red Crescent hospital in Mecca, he said adding that the Iranian delegation is to study the status of those still missing.

Iran's Red Crescent Society has applied for six visas with Saudi Embassy but got no reply yet, he said.

Saudi incident has roots in the mismanagement and ineligibility of Saudi officials.
