Kharrazi says JCPOA should be implemented more carefully

Tehran, Sept 23, IRNA – Head of Foreign Relations Strategic Council Kamal Kharrazi said on Wednesday that recent statements by Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif indicated that Iranian officials be more careful about implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) from now on.

To a question on recent statement of Zarif on conduct of Americans after the JCPOA, Kharrazi told reporters that the statements stem from the fact that what has come in the agreement differs from what Americans interpret. ‘This shows that from now on, we should be more careful when implementing the document, foreseeing possible challenges and finding solutions to them.’

To a question about President Hassan Rouhani’s visit to New York and his participation in the 70th UN General Assembly, Kharrazi said absolutely, a warm welcome will be accorded to the president and a new opportunity will be provided under the new atmosphere so that he will have meetings with officials of various countries and further prepare the ground for expansion of relations.
