Irans Salehi, IAEA chief hold talks in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano sat down for talks in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

During a meeting on Sunday, Salehi and Amano discussed ways to speed up the implementation of a Road-map signed between Iran and the IAEA on July 14.

Earlier in the day, the IAEA chief also held talks with Irans President Hassan Rouhani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on the implementation of the Road-map.

Amano is accompanied by a four-member delegation, including his deputies, during his one-day stay.



Spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Saturday that Amanos visit is aimed at facilitating the process of the implementation of the Road-map.

On July 14, Iran and the IAEA signed a Road-map regarding the Islamic Republics nuclear work in the Austrian capital city of Vienna. The agreement was reached on the same day Iran and the Group 5+1 the United States, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany finalized the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna.

As part of the Road-map, the IAEA is required to finish its investigations about Irans nuclear activities and submit a report to the agencys board by December 15.
