Iran, S. Korea ready for expansion of cooperation in post-JCPOA era
Tehran, Sept 12, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour and South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Hong-Kyun on Saturday underlined all-out expansion of Tehran-Seoul relations after signing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The two sides also announced readiness of their respective countries to hold joint economic commission session.

He made the remarks in a meeting with South Korean minister of land, infrastructure and transport (MOLIT) and deputy minister of trade and energy who are in Iran to take firsthand account of bilateral relations after the sanctions lifting.

He hoped that the Iranian party will prepare a safe haven for activity and investment of the South Korean companies in Iran.

Referring to developments in the Korean peninsula and appreciating Iran for its sincere efforts to host Afghan refugees, the South Korean official condemned brutal measures of Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group.

He emphasized the need for international cooperation to fight against extremist terrorism and other terrorist groups.

The official also hoped that the South Korean enterprises will benefit from the post-JCPOA atmosphere and bring all their capacities to the Iranian market.
