TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami reiterated that armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are closely monitoring regional developments and evil acts of the US and its allies.
“Helping establishment of security and stability in the Middle East is one of the main security policies of Iran,” he said.
He further said that the ISIL and other Takfiri-Zionist streams formed from financial support of the US and its regional allies have embarked on criminal and inhuman acts and are posing serious threats to Iraq, Syria and Yemen, North and West Africa as well as Afghanistan, Central Asia and Far East.
The Iranian official continued that Iran has always showed it has strong firm to build confidence and expand cooperation through diplomatic mechanisms, such as defense diplomacy.
“The issue has been manifested well in the process of implementing nuclear diplomacy and recent agreements in Vienna,” he added.
Hatami said that Vienna agreement has opened new climates in political, defense and security negotiations in the world.
He also called for creating new opportunities and managing crises in the Middle East through developing defense and security cooperation based on mutual interests, boosting peace, stability and security.
