Iran and P5+1 to undoubtedly implement JCPOA: Russia
Moscow, Aug 28, IRNA Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday that there is no doubt about the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) by Iran and the six world powers known as the G5+1.

Zakharova, who was speaking during her weekly press conference, also said that approval of a resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors is essential for paving the way for sustainable partnership of the UN nuclear agency in the implementation of the JCPOA.

Referring to the arguments underway in the United States over Iran deal, the Russian spokeswoman said Moscow is closely monitoring these debates and hopes they will end successfully so that unprecedented efforts by the international community to reach a nuclear deal with Tehran will yield fruit.

She said that Russia along with the Iranian side is taking the preliminary measures for the implementation of the JCPOA, including the production of sustainable radioisotopes in Fordo nuclear site.

Zakharova said that under the terms of the JCPOA, 90 days after the approval of Resolution 2231 in the UN Security Council, Iran deal has to be implemented and after that Iran will have to take practical measures to curb its nuclear program based on its commitments.

She also said that the US and the European members of the G5+1, on the other hand, have to prepare the ground for removal of unilateral sanctions on Iran.

Zakharova said Moscow had no doubt that the parties involved in the nuclear talks will honor their commitments based on the JCPOA.
