Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA � Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday appreciated the government for successful performance to cut inflation, provide economic stability and tranquility and health services and resolving the nuclear dispute.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani and his cabinet on the occasion of the Government Week.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that cutting inflation and restoration of relative stability and tranquility in the economic domain as well as curbing sharp fluctuations are among good measures of the government which should continue.

The Supreme Leader supported the plan of government to bring down inflation from two-digit to below 10 percent.

The Supreme Leader said among other good works of the government are overcoming economic stagnation, launching health development project, planning for continued scientific movement, water control, water consumption management in the agriculture sector and irrigation projects.

'Resolution of the nuclear dispute was among other very important works done by the government and we hope certain problems existing on the way will be tackled.'

Meanwhile, the Supreme Leader said that since triumph of the Islamic Revolution, hostility of the Zionists and Americans against Islamic Republic and the Islamic Revolution have not been decreased, so the reality should not lose its importance in the minds of the officials.

'Of course, methods of hostility and harming might be modernized; however, the political, economic and cultural officials should be careful in order not to be trapped by the enemy's pre-determined plan and that any decision willingly or unwillingly should not help hostile policy of the bullying powers.

The Leader said the hostile and explicit goals of enemies can be understood in words and writings and no one should forget that the camp of enemy has taken position against the Iranian nation and the country with ready arms. 'We should also carefully form our own camp and make due decisions and measures against enemies as per the situation.'

He said that of course, the officials are not the only ones who must detect the never ending hostility of Zionists and Americans and people at large, especially those caring for the Revolution, should take the reality into consideration. 'The statesmen, however, shoulder heavier duty in this respect.'

The Supreme Leader warned against complicated and gradual meddling of the enemy into domestic affairs the Islamic Republic of Iran and said the revolutionary stances and fundamentals of the late Imam Khomeini should be brought to the notice of the enemy without any fear and with no shy.

The Leader said any negligence will result in foothold of the enemy in certain positions, doing dangerous cultural, economic and political things. 'So, we should be careful.'

The Supreme Leader termed economy as the main priority of the country and said the first point in this regard is that progress should go parallel with justice.

'We should be careful economic development must not put pressure on stratas and the poor should not suffer.'

Noting that commercial management and foreign trade are of utmost importance, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined fair trade and not to allow Iran to become a market for foreign-made goods.

'Resistance economy is an important issue which should be taken into consideration in any planning made by the government. Resistance Economy, a complete and integrated package, should be translated into practice.'

'Don't put on agenda any economic plan that is inconsistent with policies of the Resistance Economy and draw up the Sixth Development Plan more speedily and on the same basis.'

Referring to President Rouhani's introductory report to the meeting on three percent growth of economy, Ayatollah Khamenei said, 'The growth shows minor removal of recession. Failure to launch practical campaign against recession, will put current economic growth in danger and inflation will follow upward trend again.'

The Supreme Leader said to tackle recession, certain projects should be ceded to the private sector.

Underlining paying more attention to the agriculture sector, Ayatollah Khamenei said all plans should target self-sufficiency of the basic commodities.

'By applying modern technology in agriculture, the capacity of young agricultural engineers should develop in the provinces.'

The Supreme Leader said that the oil, whose price fell to 40 dollars from 100 dollars on the market only with a signal from the big powers and of the hostile regional elements is not reliable at all.

'So we should think of an appropriate alternative; the best choice is the mining sector. The capacity of the private sector should be utilized in the mining sector and we should avoid selling raw materials.'
