Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani formally unveiled the re-designed 'Iran Check 500,000 Rials' and gold coin on Wednesday at the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

The 'Iran Check 500,000 Rials' (equivalent to about 15 US dollars) has been re-designed and produced with the most advanced and secure technology features with strong resistance to counterfeiting.

It is durable and attractive and retains the portrait of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.) on the front.

Imam Reza is the eighth Imam of Twelver Shias.
