TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan lauded the country's experts and engineers for defying the western-imposed sanctions and shortening the time needed for the production of the needed weapons and military equipment.

"The Defense Ministry is capable of designing and producing all the needed items of the Iranian Armed Forces to respond to enemies' possible threats and we have managed to reduce the production time by concentrating on the projects," Brigadier General Dehqan said, addressing a ceremony marking the National Defense Industry Day in Tehran on Saturday.


He underlined that the Iranian Armed Forces are at their highest level of preparedness to defend the country.


The Iranian Defense Minister pointed to the country's achievements in the defense field, and said, "The Defense Ministry experts have had the best achievements and they have defied the sanctions despite the restrictions imposed by the enemies."


On Friday, Brigadier General Dehqan underlined the preparedness of the country's Armed Forces to confront any possible enemy threat in proportion to the level and type of hostile moves.


"The Iranian Armed Forces are capable of repelling any threat because they are at such level of preparedness that they can respond to the enemies' threats," Brigadier General Dehqan said, addressing the pre-sermon speech of Tehran's Friday prayers.


The Iranian Defense Minister underlined that the country's Armed Forces are prepared to respond in the shortest time to any possible aggression against the Islamic Republic.
