Republicans in the US contend that Iran has fleeced P5+1 in nuclear talks; it would be a good idea to be powerful enough to sway world powers, but Iran has never deceived anyone and has simply stood up for its rights, Chairman of the Expediency Council Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani said in a meeting with Iranian students who have graduated from foreign universities.

The top councilor further said, �Some ignorant individuals try to downplay the effort of Iran�s negotiating team; they simply find fault. As President Rouhani has openly said negotiations are a matter of give and take. If the other side thinks that it will not gain anything in the negotiations, it wouldn't sit at the negotiating table.�
