Zarif: Iran ready to exchange parliamentary delegation with Pakistan

Islamabad, Aug 13, IRNA Foreign Minister Zarif said that Iran and Pakistan in process of approving agreements needs support and assistance of parliaments of the two countries and in this direction Iran express its readiness for exchanging parliamentary delegation between Tehran and Islamabad.

Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of Pakistan Senate Raza Rabbani here on Thursday afternoon.

Zarif also conveyed greetings of Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Senator Rabbani.

Referring to new agenda for economic and trade relations between the two countries, Zarif said that to promote bilateral cooperation it is necessary to create a new banking mechanism between the two sides and prepare ground for more facilitations for businessmen and public and private companies.

Concerning critical human situations in Yemen, Zarif said that current development in Yemen and demolishing infrastructures in the country had caused basic problems for ordinary people in Yemen, and added that the sole way to solve the problem is political solution through Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue.

Referring to Iran's success in achieving nuclear agreement, Rabbani said that Pakistani is so pleased for such great achievement.

Concerning bilateral cooperation, Rabbani said that in the fields of economic, fight against organized crimes and terrorism, energy and gas pipeline, there are good capacities and possibilities between the two countries and Senate will support strengthening ties by all means.

Zarif arrived in Islamabad on Thursday morning and during 10-hour stay here met with Premier Nawaz Sharif, his counterpart Sartaj Aziz, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Chairman of Senate Raza Rabbani.

He also attended a joint press conference with Sartaj Aziz and delivered speech in foreign affairs committee of National Assembly.

Zarif departed Islamabad for New Delhi on Thursday late afternoon.
