Tehran, July 13, IRNA � The Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian stood trial for the third time here on Monday morning.

Abolqasem Salavati is the judge of today's court session which is held behind closed doors.

The first and second sessions of the trial were held on May 26 and June 8, respectively.

Rezaian, 39, is accused of espionage for the US government and activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rezaian, the American-Iranian correspondent, was arrested along with his wife and one of his friends.

His wife and friend were later released but he stayed in jail.
