VIENNA (Sputnik) � EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini will join Iran nuclear talks in Vienna on July 2, the EU External Action Service (EEAS) said Tuesday.

The High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini will travel to Vienna on Thursday 2 July 2015 for talks on the Iranian nuclear issue," the EEAS said in a statement.

P5+1 group of�international negotiators, comprising Russia, the United States, China, France, the United Kingdom and Germany have been in�talks with�Iran since�2013 to�reach a comprehensive agreement on�Tehran's controversial nuclear program.

On April 2, 2015 the sides reached a breakthrough political framework agreement with�Iran in�Lausanne, Switzerland.

The P5+1 international mediators and Iran decided earlier on�Tuesday to�extend talks on�comprehensive nuclear deal until�July 7 as�the previous deadline expires at�midnight on�June 30.
