Drafting final nuclear deal resumed in Vienna

Vienna, June 29, IRNA Deputy foreign ministers of Iran and the P5+1 resumed drafting the final nuclear deal here on Monday.

Members of the Iranian delegation comprised of Deputy Foreign Ministers Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takhat Ravanchi are engaged in discussions with the European Union Foreign Policy Deputy Helga Schmidt.

Debates between delegations started at 10:00 local time (12:30 Tehran time).

Expert teams are simultaneously discussing issues related to the deal.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif returned to Tehran on Monday morning.

He said his home return had already been planned.

Ministerial meetings of Iran and P5+1 in Vienna on Saturday and Sunday were planned before and all the ministers except US Secretary of State John Kerry left Vienna on Sunday, Zarif told IRNA after arrival in Tehran on early Monday morning.

Zarif said that he will go to Vienna on Tuesday.

Iran and P5+1 negotiations at the expert level have not been stopped and would continue, he underlined.

US Secretary of State John Kerry stayed in Vienna because of his broken leg.

Zarif left Vienna for Tehran on Sunday night after holding talks with his European and American counterparts as well as EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

The Iranian foreign minister will return to Vienna on Tuesday after one-day stay in Tehran.

Zarif held separate bilateral and intensive meetings with his US and German counterparts as well as EU foreign policy chief and Chinese deputy foreign minister in Vienna on Sunday evening.

Zarif's meetings with John Kerry, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federica Mogherini and Wang Yi took place after his consultations with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on Sunday.

Zarif's Sunday meeting with Kerry was the fourth one over the past two days.
