The upcoming meeting between Tehran and the P5+1 group of international mediators is critical as the deadline to reach a comprehensive political agreement on the Iranian nuclear program is approaching, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Baodong said Sunday.
VIENNA (Sputnik) Iran and the six world powers, comprising Russia, the United States, China, France, Britain and Germany, have to reach a final deal that would secure the peaceful nature of Tehrans nuclear program in exchange for a gradual lifting of anti-Iran sanctions until Tuesday.
"It is a critical time, it's a critical meeting," Li who will represent China in the talks, told reporters upon his arrival in Vienna.
"We hope that we can have a deal on time. We see that all parties are committed to the process of negotiations."
