Ayatollah Jannati appointed as head of election monitoring committee

Tehran, June 24, The Iran Project – At the first meeting of the central committee of election monitoring which held on Wednesday, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati was appointed as the head of the committee.

At the first meeting of the central committee for monitoring Iran’s tenth parliamentary election and fifth election of the Assembly of Experts, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, Ayatollah Yazdi, Mohammad Reza Alizadeh, Siyamak Rahpeik were respectively appointed as the President, Vice President, Secretary and Spokesman of the central committee.

Iranians will vote for a new parliament on February 26, 2016, when elections for the Assembly of Experts are also due.
