Quiroz’s new list leaves out Dejagah, Jahanbakhsh

TEHRAN, May 31 (MNA) – Carlos Queiroz of Iran’s national football squad has called 23 players into preparation camp.The list shows significant missing names such as Ashkan Dejagah and Alireza Jahanbakhsh, the top hopefuls for the national kit.

The 23 players invited to the camp will play against Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the preliminary stage of 2018 FIFA World Cup in Moscow. However, the technical cadre of the national team had told reporters that the list will be finalized further after Iran’s Playoff’s final.

The players should be present in National Football Academy on Monday June 1, 15:30 local time.

Khosrow Heidari, Hashem Beikzadeh, Omid Ebrahimi (Esteqlal of Tehran), Ezzatolah Pourqaz and Mohammad Hossein Kan’anizadeh (Malavan of Anzali), Mohammad Reza Ekhbari and Mehdi Torabi (Saipa of Karaj), Milad Mohammadi and Ramin Rezaian (Rah Ahan), Wouria Ghafouri, Mehdi Sharifi, and Ehsan Hajsafi (Sepahan of Isfahan), Andranik Teimourian (Tractorsazi), Sosha Makani and Mehdi Taremi (Persepolis), Alireza Haqiqi, Pejman Montazeri, Mrteza Pourali Ganji, Seyed Jalal Hosseini, Saeid Ezzatollahi, Masoud Shojaei, Reza Qouchannejad, and Sardar Azmoun (foreign leagues) are the 23 players.

Among the eliminated players are Omid Alishah and Ahmad Nourollahi of Persepolis, Amir Hossein Sadeqi, Mohsen Forouzan, Sajjad Shahbazzadeh, and Yaqoub Karimi of Esteqlal, Karim Ansarifard of Osasona of Spain, Soroush Rafiei, Esmail Sharifat, Ahmad Abdollahzadeh, and Alireza Salimi of Foulad of Khuzestan, Farzad Hatami and Hossein Mahini of Malavan of Anzali, and notably Ashkan Dejagah and Alireza Jahanbakhsh.
