Kerman, May 11, IRNA Iranian Navy's presence in international waters, including Gulf of Aden and Bab-el-Mandeb is to ensure regional security, as regional countries feel more secure with such a presence, said Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari on Monday.

'Among the other objectives of the Iranian Navy's presence in international waters is to carry the message of peace and friendship to world nations and secure the Islamic system's objectives,' said Rear Admiral Sayyari, addressing the Navy officers and cadets in Sirjan Navy Training center.

He said that Bab-el-Mndab Strait, which is one of the world's greatest waterways is the scene for the presence of some other countries as well, but some of those countries under the cover of security pursue other objectives while the Irania Navy's presence has defined objectives and is quite necessary.

During the Navy commander's visit also a maintenance center for Navy equipment and a Navy hospital in Sirjan were officially opened and put to operation.
