Sanctions regime on verge of complete collapse: Rouhani



TEHRAN, Apr. 28 (MNA) Speaking among 12,000 workers in Tehran, President Rouhani said the sanctions regime was on the verge of complete collapse and no country could continue exerting pressure on Iran in the future.



President Rouhani made the remarks at the 26th nationalfestival forappreciation of workers and industrial producers today in Tehran.


Speaking among 12,000 workers of various occupations at Azadi Staduim, President Rouhani maintained that government had a duty to protect the hob security of the workers and ensure the continuation of their activities.


He underscored the significance of self-reliance and concentrating the countrys capitals within its own territory, prioritizing the resistance economy over oil-dependant economy.


Rouhani also referred to the nuclear negotiations, noting that the government not onlywaspursuing the nuclear issue during these talks, but also considered it as the first step toward the resolution of political issues.


We seek two issues at the negotiation table: First, to clear all accusations and secondly, to remove all obstacles the malevolent countries have created on our path toward having a constructive interaction with the world, said Rouhani, noting that with a serious political will on the part of the other negotiators, a final nuclear deal would be within reach in a few months.


Rouhani also warned those benefiting from the anti-Iranian sanctions to start looking for a different source of benefit; we will continue the path of constructive interaction with the world under the guidance of the Leader and support of our people, and no country in the world can continue exerting pressure and imposing sanctions against Iran in the future.


Noting that the sanctions regime was on the brink of complete collapse, Rouhani addressed the 5+1 group that Iranian people and government stood together under any circumstances.


President Rouhani concluded his speech by highlighting the need for an equality of job opportunities for women, urging the country to create equal employment policies for both genders.
