President: Reliance on oil-revenues lowest in this year budget

Tehran, April 25, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said Iran is to experience the lowest reliance on oil-revenues in its history in the budget plan forecast for the current calendar year.

He made the remarks here on Saturday while addressing a gathering of commanders and staff members of the Iranian Law Enforcement Forces.

He said despite some tight economic conditions, the government has succeeded to cut dependence on oil money.

He also highlighted the role of police in society and said his government has been attaching special importance to enhancing security and health of people.

He said the cabinet has been adhering to these issues in spite of sanctions and the lowering oil prices.

President Rouhani opened the 20th conference of commanders and officials of the Iranian Law Enforcement Forces here on Saturday.

He awarded plaques of gratitude to representative families of martyred police and commanders of the force.

High-ranking Iranian military officials accompanied President Rouhani during the event.
