Tehran, April 19, IRNA – Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani congratulated his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani and the country’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif for successful nuclear talks with G5+1.
After the end of a joint press conference of Afghan president with his Iranian counterpart on Sunday, Ghani congratulated the negotiating team over their successful talks with world powers.
He voiced hope for success of upcoming talks, adding that Iran’s diplomatic approach for resolution of its nuclear issue opened a brilliant chapter in the history of diplomacy.
Iran and Afghanistan inked two cooperation agreements on Sunday morning. The agreements were signed by Rouhani and Ghani.
Ghani arrived in Tehran Sunday morning and was welcomed by Iran’s Interior Minister Abdol Reza Rahmani Fazli at the airport.
He is leading a high-ranking delegation to Tehran for a two-day visit to the country upon the official invitation of President Rouhani.
Ashraf Ghani is to confer with a number of ranking Iranian officials on ways to promote and consolidate mutual cooperation.
