Iran to bring calm to region through peaceful means: deputy FM

Tehran, April 18, IRNA – Iran is to restore peace and stability in the region through dialogue and peaceful means, a senior official at the Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi made the remarks in a meeting here with Markus Ederer, the visiting Secretary of State to the German Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

Referring to Tehran-Berlin political consultations as useful and necessary, Takht-e Ravnachi said promotion of bilateral relations would lead to regional stability.

Meanwhile, Ederer hailed proper ties between Iran and Germany, noting that further progress in political, economic and cultural ties between the two capitals would lead to further regional peace and stability.
