Rezaie urges Saudi Arabia to immediately end Yemen aggression

Tehran, April 11, IRNA Secretary of Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaie urged Saudi Arabia to end its invasion on Yemen and exit the country.

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, he stressed that the act of Saudi Arabia served the interests of neither Islam nor Arabs but just Zionism.

Referring to the support of Saudi Arabia to the Baathist regime of Iraq in attacking Iran, he said Iranians suffered damage worth dlrs 7 billion due to the Saudi backing.

He also said that Saudi Arabia has been cause of insecurity in the region for many years adding that while the former Saudi rulers used to carry out their plots in secret, the new ones are doing the same in an open and non-human manner without observing any international regulations.

He said Saudi Arabia used the same conduct in attacking Syria, Iraq and Bahrain in the past and is now launching overt air attacks against Yemen.

Rezaie compared Saudi Arabia behavior in Yemen with the Zionist regime crimes in Gaza.

He went on to highlight the wide split created by Saudi Arabia among Islamic countries and said it also is fighting democracy and freedom seeking interests in the region.

Rezaie said Saudi Arabia is openly hindering Yemeni people from making their own decisions.

Turning to the recent nuclear statement between Iran and the 5+1, he noted that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has already set the framework for the talks and those who are for and against the Swiss Statement should focus on the national interests when interpreting the statement.
